CHARLESTON SURGICAL HOSPITAL OPEN POSITIONS

Registered Nurses, full-time and per diem positions available, minimum 2 years of experience required.

Registered Nurses interested in working every weekend or every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday 6:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.)

Hospital Coders – responsible for coding hospital claims for Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance. This position will also be responsible for assuring the accuracy of coding and staying current on all coding requirements.

Infection Preventionist Staff – responsible for infection prevention and control functions to include surveillance, analysis, and reporting of infections, the development and implementation of policies and procedures for prevention and control practices within the Hospital and compliance with regulatory bodies. Current licensure to practice as Registered Nurse in WV; with either two years of experience in hospital infection control or working under the direction of the Infection Preventionist Consultant for one year while participating in a minimal of 10 CEs a year while participating in infection control courses organized by recognized professional societies (e.g., APIC, SHEA). IC staff will work towards certification.

Environment of Care (EC) & Life Safety (LS) Director, who will direct, lead, coordinate and oversee regulatory requirements for EC and LS standards and NFPA codes.
Successful completion of National Fire Protection Agency Life Safety Code Class.
5 years’ experience in hospital healthcare facilities management program, licensed electrician.

Nurse Manager for Pre/Post Op and PACU Units. Directs, coordinates and provides leadership for department. 5 years of experience in related clinical field; 5 years hospital management experience preferred. Experience in staff scheduling and EHR. Current WV State Registered Nurse license, BLS, ACLS and PALS, good verbal and written communication skills.

Radiology Technologist – Experience using a Mobile C-Arm and O-Arm preferred. Surgical Neurological experience preferred. Current license by the State of West Virginia Board of Examiners of Radiologic Technologists. Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nurse Aides/Unit Clerk – night shift – Performs all the duties of the Nurse Aide. Performs additional non-clinical duties, such as unit secretary and electronic medical record access.

OR Nurse Manager – responsible for all aspects of nursing care in the operating room. Minimum of 3-5 years operating room experience, hospital regulations, management of personnel in surgical services required. Good verbal and written communication skills required. EOE
